Rawsome Gas CEO Retracts Statement Against Citi Gas Company

The Chief Executive Officer of Rawsome Gas Company, Abakaliki, Mr. Amadi Isreal Rawsome, has retracted a statement he made against Citi Gas Company, and tendered unreserved apologies to the management of the company.

Mr. Rawsome had in a statement he posted in the official WhatsApp platform of LPGAR-NUPENG, Ebonyi Chapter, alleged that “Citi Gas product is lighter in weight than other companies’ gas and is air dominant”.

But, Rawsome has recanted his words in a statement he signed and issued to journalists on Monday, saying it was made in ignorance.

He, therefore, apologized to the management of Citi Gas company, and regretted the lost and injuries the statement might have caused them.

Rawsome further urged the Company to take legal action against him, if found guilty of such utterances in the future.

The retraction reads: “I, Amadi Isreal Rawsome of Rawsome Gas Company, Abakaliki, wish to sincerely retract the statement I made about Citi Gas company on the 25th August 2020 in LPGAR-NUPENG, Ebonyi Chapter’s official WhatsApp platform, to the effect that “Citi Gas product is lighter in weight than other companies’ gas and is air dominant”.

“The statement was untrue and made in ignorance. Citi Gas is not Lighter in weight than other companies’ gas and not air dominant as I earlier misconstrued.

“I therefore, sincerely tender unreserved apologies to the Management of Citi Gas Company, for the lost and injuries this statement may have caused the company.

“Should any of such utterances be made by me, against Citi Gas Company, in the future, the company can take legal action against me.”
