Ebonyi ALGON Chair Congratulates New National President, ALGON IMC
The Chairman, Association of Local government of Nigeria ( ALGON), Ebonyi state chapter and Chairman, Ohaazara local government area, Hon. Princess Nkechinyere Iyioku has congratulated Hon. Abdulahi Maje on his appointment as National President of ALGON, Interim Management Committee, IMC.
In a statement signed by the ALGON Chairman, it said his appointment into the exalted office of ALGON is a clear manifestation of the confidence people have in his ability to turn things around for the better in the administration of local government in the country.
According to Princess Iyioku, ALGON believes that this is an opportunity to prove his worth as a committed leader whose’ wealth of experience will be used to move local government system in Nigeria forward in all ramifications.
She urged the Committee to ensure that they carry everybody along in the scheme of things and adhere strictly to the constitution and bylaw that established ALGON especially in the area of transparency and accountability in the management of resources of the Association.
She assured the National President of the maximum cooperation of ALGON Ebonyi State chapter and pledged her unalloyed loyalty to the committee to ensure that it succeeds.
“I congratulate Hon. Abdulahi Maje on his appointment as National President, ALGON, Interim Management Committee to pilot the affairs of the Association. I pray God to lead him and give him protection and wisdom to lead the Association to the next level in this wind of change”.
