Deacon Austin Umahi, National Vice Chairman of the PDP, Southeast Zone
The South East National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Deacon Austin Umahi has congratulated Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki on his victory during the Saturday election.
The National Vice Chairman stated that the outcome of the 2020 Governorship Election in Edo State has rekinded hope of the Democratic order in Nigeria’s electoral process.
In a statement issued in Abakaliki by his Media office, the PDP Boss noted that the outcome of the poll has decimated tyranny, imposition and godfatherism in Nigeria’s politics.
Austin Umahi said: ” I heartily felicitate with the Executive Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki, on his well deserved reelection as the Governor of Edo State”.
“We also express our deep appreciation to the good people of Edo State for choosing our dear party as their choice for a better Edo State”.
“We equally commend the indefatigable Chairman of our great party, His Excellency Prince Uche Secondus for his
astuteness and political sagacity, the South South Governors and the entire PDP Committee on Edo election for this great victory”.
“Our dear National Chairman, the victory of our great party in this election is a demonstration of confidence in your
leadership and our dear party as well as an indication that Nigerians are tired of the APC and little men playing God”.
“You have not only buried the vaulting ego and career of the anti democratic former National Chairman of APC but have also pruned the wings of the emperor of Lagos who conceitedly arrogated to himself the position of the leader of all democrats in Nigeria in all parties.We in the South East PDP are solidly behind your efforts to return our party to the center in 2023 in alliance with all Nigerians of good will”.
